Today we're announcing a major milestone: RohoPay now supports Visa and Mastercard payments alongside mobile money. Merchants can accept credit and debit cards from customers around the world, with funds settled directly to their RohoPay account.
Card payments are processed through our partnership with Relworx, a licensed payment processor with direct connections to the Visa and Mastercard networks. Every transaction uses 3D Secure authentication for fraud protection.
The integration took our team six months of development and certification. We had to build a dedicated card tokenization service, implement PCI DSS-compliant data handling, and pass certification tests with both Visa and Mastercard.
To get started, enable card payments in your dashboard settings. No additional paperwork needed — we handle all the compliance requirements on your behalf. Your existing API keys work for both mobile money and card transactions.
